One month after Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines, 4 million people remain displaced and it will likely take years for the damaged nation to rebound. That’s according to a new United Nations report tracking response and relief efforts in the typhoon zone.
On Nov. 8, Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines with devastating brutality. It ripped homes from foundations and wiped out entire communities. We later learned that Haiyan, or Yolanda as it was called in the Philippines, was one of the strongest tropical cyclones in history.
