Winter Storm Dion is delivering a sloppy winter smorgasbord from the Mid-Atlantic through southeastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey.
The National Weather Service said a high pressure system from North Carolina north to New England is being fed by disturbances from the southwest and moist air off the Atlantic. The storm has also caused treacherous travel conditions and numerous flight cancellations and has been a factor in at least one death.
Arkansas
About 10,000 Arkansans remain without electricity after Winter Storms Cleon and Dion crossed the state.
Some parts of Arkansas received more than a half-foot of snow and sleet since Thursday when the storms began.
The Arkansas Valley rural electric cooperative reported about 6,300 outages in western Arkansas on Sunday while Southwestern Electric Power Company reported about 2,500 in the same region. Oklahoma Gas and Electric reported about 1,100 outages in the Fort smith area while Entergy had about 300 outages, most of those in Pope County.
California
Four people died of hypothermia in the San Francisco Bay area.
One victim was found dead Nov. 28, and the other deaths were discovered in the last two days, Santa Clara County sheriff's Lt. Dave Lera said at a news conference Friday afternoon.
Lera said three of the victims died at homeless encampments in San Jose, while a fourth died in a garage "with the door opened."
Temperatures in San Jose fell to 30 degrees Friday morning, breaking the record low of 32 degrees for that date, which was set in 1904. The low on Nov. 28 was 45 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Colorado
Xcel Energy crews are working in bitter cold temperatures to restore natural gas service to 7,200 customers in a part of Boulder County. A company spokesman says an equipment failure at a regulator station was repaired Friday afternoon, but crews must go door-to-door to restart customers' pilot lights.
The outage came just as a winter blast brought snow and single-digit temperatures to much of Colorado.

Iowa
The state's first widespread snow of the year caused 20-car pileup on Interstate 80 in Des Moines, with no serious injuries reported and the road cleared by noon Sunday.
Most of Iowa is expected to see 2 to 4 inches of snow.
Kentucky
A wintry weather advisory will continue through late afternoon for most of Kentucky, which isn't expected to see temperatures above freezing until then.
There is also a flood warning in the eastern part of the state near the Cumberland River and northern part of the Kentucky River because of recent heavy rains.
Maryland
State officials have asked motorists to stay at home while bands of expectedly heavy snow move across the state. A state Highway Administration spokeswoman said snow was heavier than forecasted and falling at a rate of an inch an hour in some parts of Maryland.
Baltimore officials cancelled the mayor's annual Christmas parade on Sunday because of snow and dangerous road conditions.
Minnesota
Temperatures will stay well below freezing throughout Minnesota on Sunday, and another 2 to 5 inches of snow is in the forecast.
In northern Minnesota, the low was 35 below zero in Hibbing. Windy conditions could make it feel even colder in west-central and central Minnesota - with wind chills as much as 25 below to 30 below zero Sunday night into Monday morning.
Nebraska
Several inches of snow has fallen across most of eastern Nebraska, creating slick driving conditions.
The state Department of Roads was urging drivers to use extreme caution Sunday all across the eastern third of Nebraska because of slippery roads.
The snow began falling in Nebraska on Saturday and light snow continued to fall in some places Sunday as the storm moved east. Most areas will receive 2 to 4 inches of snow.
Near northwest Lincoln, officials had to close a three-mile section of Interstate 80 Sunday morning because of multiple accidents, involving cars and two semitrailer trucks.
More than 4 inches of snow fell overnight in the Lincoln area. It wasn't immediately clear whether anyone was injured in the I-80 accidents.
North Carolina
North Carolina is expected to see a range of wintry weather on Sunday. The north-central part of the state was under a winter storm warning through late Sunday afternoon and could see a mix of freezing rain and rain.
Elsewhere, Winston-Salem and Greensboro are under an ice storm warning, with accumulations of up to a quarter of an inch. A freezing rain advisory was issued for the Triangle area as well as the mountains and foothills.
Montana
Temperatures in Montana were more than 20 degrees below zero during the day Saturday while much of the Midwest was in the teens and single digits.

Oklahoma
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says many roads in the state remain slick and hazardous following winter storms that dumped snow, ice and sleet on most of the state.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Sunday that southbound lanes of Interstate 35 just across the Oklahoma state line in Texas are closed as are southbound lanes of U.S. 69/75 just past the Oklahoma-Texas state line from Colbert into Denison, Texas.
ODOT says roads in eastern, southeastern and western Oklahoma are improving, but remain slick due to refreezing. ODOT says crews are working around the clock in an effort to clear the roads.
The department says roads in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas are relatively clear, bur are slick in spots — especially on- and off-ramps and bridges and overpasses.
Pennsylvania
Up to 6 inches of snow were in the forecast for Philadelphia and southeastern Pennsylvania on Sunday. The snow was so heavy in Philadelphia that yard markers at Lincoln Financial Field were completely obscured during the Eagles' game against the Detroit Lions.
Other parts of the state could see 1 to 3 inches before the precipitation changes over to sleet and freezing rain later Sunday and into Monday.
South Dakota
The bitter cold snap led to canceled events and increased calls for furnace repairs.
Temperatures in South Dakota were more than 20 degrees below zero during the day Saturday, while much of the Midwest was in the teens and single digits.
The temperatures won't, however, keep away the state's most unwelcome visitors. Forestry officials say the mountain pine beetles that have ravaged the Black Hills in recent years can withstand the arctic temperatures, which have approached 20 below zero in some areas.
Tennessee
Numerous multi-vehicles crashes overnight in the Memphis area were blamed on ice-coated roads, bridges and overpasses. Police in Memphis urged motorists to stay home altogether if they could avoid travel Sunday.
Texas
North Texas may start to thaw out a little on Sunday with some sunshine and temperatures that are slightly above freezing.
However, more than 400 departing flights were cancelled at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Sunday. And road graders were called in to break up the thick ice on Interstate 35 north of Dallas, which has had many long traffic delays since the storm began Thursday night.
Virginia
Freezing rain and sleet coated tree limbs and power lines throughout most of Virginia on Sunday morning, with the worst concentrated from Richmond to southwestern and western parts of the state.
Officials warned a major ice storm was possible in Virginia's Appalachian region along the busy Interstate 81 corridor.
West Virginia
Up to an inch and snow and sleet and a half-inch of ice is in the forecast for parts of West Virginia.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for six southern and southeastern counties from early Sunday through Monday morning.
Wisconsin
Snow is causing treacherous driving conditions in southeastern Wisconsin. One person is dead after a fatal rollover crash on I-94 eastbound at Highway 100, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office confirmed Sunday. Multiple crashes and pileups have been reported, and many stretches of highway are closed.
Multiple accidents have been reported on Interstates 94 and 894, as well as I-39 and I-90. The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office describes conditions as extremely dangerous and slippery, with multiple pileups, including a fatal rollover on I-94 eastbound at Highway 100.
Authorities are recommending no travel in Racine County, where a multiple-car pile-up required the closure of I-94 eastbound.
All southbound lanes on I-39 near Janesville were blocked by multiple crashes.
Up to 5 inches of snow is forecast to fall in southern and eastern Wisconsin by Monday.
