School Prepares For Warnings

In Plano, a school is showing its reliability on the new NBC S-band radar. The school is showing how dependent they are on the speed and accuracy of the weather system and their warnings. The school has a mission to secure the students and staff in five minutes at the most. "The 2-year-olds bring their toys and huddle into a bathroom. Teachers have to keep them distracted while singing a happy song. Meanwhile, the 5-year-olds, who have done this before, line up in the hallway." It is unpredictable to know what the children are doing when the warnings come. They practice drills, of various weather warnings, at different occasions on different days.
