A deadly Cyclone Bulbul caused over 2 million people to evacuate as it slams into Bangladesh and India. The Cyclone Bulbul has ripped through coastal areas of Bangladesh and in addition, India killing approximately thirteen individuals. The two million individuals that were forced to evacuate spend the night in rescue shelters. The storm packed winds up to 120km/h which is 75mph. The storm destroyed thousands of homes (30,000) or more. In addition, injured dozens of individuals. It is confirmed that five of the individuals who lost their lives in Bangladesh were hit by the falling trees. Services at many sea ports and airports in the region were also suspended including the busy Kolkata airport.Bangladesh's two biggest ports, Mongla and Chittagong, were closed and flights into Chittagong airport were stopped.Bulbul is not the first powerful storm to hit the region this year. In May, seven people died following Cyclone Fani, the strongest tropical cyclone to make landfall in India in 20 years.
