- Given it's March and temperatures will be near the freezing mark rather than well below freezing, snow will likely be wet and heavy. Combined with high winds, power outages are a threat in the above areas.
- Snow should wind down quickly in the Ohio Valley on Wednesday morning.
- Rain will likely change to snow in Washington, D.C./northern Virginia metroand Baltimore late Tuesday night, with significant accumulation possible Wednesday. The heaviest snow totals will be in the western suburbs. There will likely be a large gradient in snow totals from the eastern side of the metro to the west. Areas right along and east of I-95 may switch back and forth between rain and snow.
