Disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico

A tropical disturbance, known as Invest 92-L, is making its way over to the Gulf of Mexico for the upcoming weekend. More specifically, it is heading over to the east side of the Gulf of Mexico, not too far from the Florida coast. The Gulf of Mexico has been experiencing some thunderstorms lately but Invest 92-L is pushing some of those storms to the south. Surface pressures of Invest 92-L are starting out pretty high as well, something that Jon Erdman thinks is worth noting. Satellite images show that this tropical disturbance still has yet to develop into anything serious. In fact, forecast models show that the intensity of Invest 92-L is quite low. Experts say that this tropical disturbance will take some time to develop but it has the potential to turn into a low-end tropical storm. For now, the progression of this disturbance is being closely monitored.
