Michigan weather this week: When does the warming trend hit?
There will be a warming trend this week, but it will be slow to happen. Once the warming trend kicks in, we could have temperatures approaching 50 degrees.
If you want warmer temperatures, your stumbling block will be a large snowstorm out east. That snowstorm will circulate air around it, bringing Michigan's winds in mostly from the north Tuesday through Thursday.
So, although warm temperatures will be perched just to Michigan's west early in the week, it will really take until Friday to start to feel something warmer than normal. Normal high temperatures now range from the upper 30s in southern Michigan to the lower 30s in northern Lower Michigan. The U.P. has average highs in the upper 20s now.
So the farther north you are this week, eventually the more abnormally warm it will be.
