Northern Illinois could get snow Monday morning

CHICAGO (AP) -- Some areas in northern Illinois could see a blast of snow and sleet just in time for the morning commute.

The National Weather Service says heavy snow and sleet could move across northern Illinois early in the morning, amounting to up to an inch of accumulation in some areas north of Interstate 80.

Conditions should improve quickly as the morning progresses, with high temperatures in the upper 30s or low 40s.
