This season's first bout of fall-like weather is on the horizon for the Midwest, where drier, cooler and sunnier weather is expected to move in by the end of the week.
"A cold front will move into the Midwest on Thursday with more heavy rain and some embedded severe weather," AccuWeather Meteorologist Ryan Adamson warned. "However, after the front moves through, the first true fall weather of the season will move into the region by Friday."
