A survey team found the tornado touched down at the intersection of Pinecrest and E. Fork roads, where several patches of shingles were ripped off of the east side of a manufactured home and thrown to the west side of the trailer, officials said.
Elsewhere in the area, the team found a satellite dish that was mounted to a pole next to the manufactured home thrown to the ground. Officials said a free-standing swing was also broken in the damage.
National Weather Service officials said Friday that the tornado moved north-northeast to Long Vue Road, where it produced minor damage to multiple manufactured homes, including ripping off the shingles from the roof of a manufactured home and throwing them into a nearby field.
The Hancock County tornado was on the ground for 0.6 miles with a width of 30 yards.
