Severe storms rocked Southeast Texas early Monday morning. Meteorologist Britta Merwin says the radar is quiet now but this brief break will not last long. Strong storms could pop up this afternoon.
A few of these storms could turn severe. The main threats will be damaging winds, hail, heavy rain, lightning and isolated tornadoes.
After a cold front pushes through Monday night, the weather will slowly turn calm for the rest of the week with cooler temperatures in the 70s.
