Monday Night

  • Snow:  Northern Plains, Upper Mississippi Valley.
  • Heaviest snow:  North-central through central and southeast Minnesota, including the Twin Cities.
  • Wind threat:  Winds may lead to significant blowing and drifting snow and reduced visibility, particularly in outlying areas of North Dakota where up to 10 inches of snow fell during the day Monday. 
  • Commute Impacts:  Fargo | Minneapolis/St. Paul | Quad Cities
  • Interstate impacts:  I-94 (Mont. to western Wisc.), I-29 (N.D./northern S.D.), I-35 (Ia./Minn.), I-90 (Srn. Minn.)

  • Snow:  Ends in the northern Plains, continues in the Upper Mississippi Valley, spreading into the Ohio Valley and western Great Lakes.  Snow will spread into the central Appalachians Tuesday night.
  • Heaviest snow:  Southeastern Minnesota, eastern Iowa, western/far southern Wisconsin, northern Illinois, northern Indiana, possibly far southwest Lower Michigan, then into western Ohio by evening.
