Much of the southern part of Western Australia has experienced dangerous wind gusts today but the worst of it is over according to Bureau of Meteorology climate and weather officer John Relf.
Areas south of Bunbury are still in line for damaging winds in excess of 125km/h.
The worst effected areas are expected to be coastal parts.
On Wednesday evening WA police said severe weather had closed the entertainment zone set up for school leavers in Dunsborough, and advised teenagers to stay at their accommodation.

Mr Relf said wind gusts had reached 117km/h at Rottnest Island and 98km/h at Perth Airport.
"Which is substantial considering anything over 90km/h is considered severe," he said.
