On Sunday, rain from the next storm system will move into the Mid-Atlantic along a warm front during the day and spread northward into New York and southern New England overnight. Portions of northern New York and northern New England may see a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain Sunday night.

The approach of the aforementioned new frontal system will set the stage for a soggy start to the week on Monday. Rain is likely from New England to the central Appalachians. Parts of northern New England may continue to see a wintry mix.

Monday's Forecast
Travel delays are a good bet in the Northeast, so be sure to pencil in some extra time for your Monday commutes.
Fortunately, the Northeast should dry out on Tuesday.  Only a few lingering snow showers are possible in northern New England, and near the eastern Great Lakes.
