Shuqualak, Miss. residents begin cleanup of debris from homes hit a tornado Thursday, April 11, 2013. 

Severe storms struck the Southeast on Thursday, one day after the same system brought tornadoes to Arkansas and Missouri. On both days, widespread damage was reported from tornadoes that touched down, leaving injuries and an extensive cleanup effort. Above are photos from two long days as we recap a rough mid-week outbreak of severe weather.
