Parts of North Texas are forecast to see
thunderstorms, hail and the possibility of an isolated tornado late
Wednesday and into Thursday as a cold front pushes into the Metroplex.
The National Weather Service in Fort
Worth said Wednesday that areas north of Interstate 20 could see
thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening.
The storms are expected to bring strong winds and hail.
"Severe storms will develop across
much of western OK and parts of NW Texas this evening. But for the
Dallas-Fort Worth area, the best storm chances will hold off until early
Thursday morning. That's when a strong cold front will arrive,
accompanied by a squall line with heavy rain, lightning and possibly
some damaging wind gusts. Much chillier weather can be expected Thursday
and Friday," NBC 5 Chief Meteoroloigst David Finfrock said in his online forecast Wednesday.
