In the Midwest, the cold front should push into the Mississippi Valley, but lingering moisture may continue wrapping around the surface low into the northern Plains.
This will result in some leftover wrap-around wet snow in the Black Hills of South Dakota early Tuesday. Up to 8 inches of snow has piled up in Deadwood, S.D. as of Tuesday morning.
Farther east, a broad zone of showers and thunderstorms will rumble from the upper and middle Mississippi Valleys to the western Great Lakes. This could bring some travel hassles to Chicago, St. Louis and Minneapolis.
