Winter Storm Ulysses
A winter storm in North Carolina is causing intense winter storms with major power outages. "About 78,000 customers remain without power in North Carolina Sunday, and utility companies say it could be days before power is restored. The outages come in the wake of Winter Storm Ulysses, which brought snow and substantial ice to parts of the Southeast and mid-Atlantic, particularly North Carolina, knocking out power to hundreds of thousands and leaving road conditions messy."
This storm has caused such intense outages that the power is projected to not be restored till next Wednesday. The region was not ready for the amount of snowfall and the damage has been extremely significant. This makes the repairs harder because of the wide spread damage.
