As the Earth is getting hotter, so is the budget of predicting it. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration invested $6 million into severe weather forecasting systems. The investment will conclude in better prediction models, more experiments in atmospheric temperature, improving forecast with lake and reservoir observations, and etc. "These grants support the transition of some of the most promising tools to improve forecasting," John Cortinas, director of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration director of Research's Office of Weather and Air Quality.
