Thunderstorms will be rather minimal across the nation the next few days.
However, the threat of severe thunderstorms will ramp up beginning Saturday in the nation's heartland. Damaging winds and heavy rain appear to be the primary threats, as a line of severe thunderstorms forms by Saturday evening. That severe threat then marches east toward the Mississippi ValleySunday.
