Temperature extremes are tracked and measured daily from multiple locations on earth. The following list shows the highest temperature ever reported on a continent. Keep in mind that the data in older dates may be skewed because standard temperature measurement techniques and equipment may have changed. Also note that "Oceania" indicates any small location such as an island in the vast oceans of the world.
