Severe Storm Threat Increases Late Week

The threat of severe storms will be minimal across the United States through Tuesday.
However, general thunderstorms with locally heavy rain are possible along the Gulf Coast from Florida to Texas. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will also be possible for parts of the Lower Mississippi River Valley.
Late in the week, the severe storm potential will ramp up in the central states as a strong cold front moves across the region. Specifics on the timing, intensity and location are a bit uncertain at this time. Stay tuned for more updates.
