Severe Threat Friday

Friday, the greatest chance of severe storms will be in the northern Plains, from eastern North Dakota and northwest Minnesota to northeast South Dakota and west-central Minnesota. Damaging winds and hail are the main concerns. In addition, a TOR:CON of 5 has been issued for western Minnesota, eastern North Dakota, and northeast South Dakota.
A potent storm system swinging out of the Rockies and into the Plains will continue to bring a threat of severe storms to end the week.
Thursday's storms produced strong wind gusts and some hail.On the backside of the storm system, the combination of heavy rain and runoff from melting snow could cause some flooding in western South Dakota and southwest North Dakota
