Severe Weather Moves East

A strong cold front that brought severe thunderstorms from Oklahoma to Iowa on Friday will continue to head east through Monday. Although the tornado threat will be much lower, we still expect some severe storms with damaging winds and hail each day.

On Sunday, the cold front may trigger a few severe storms from the eastern Great Lakes to the upper Ohio Valley. Once again, damaging wind gusts and large hail are the main threats. There will also be locally torrential rainfall.
Sunday Threat Areas:  Cleveland | Pittsburgh |Knoxville, Tenn.
Monday will bring showers and thunderstorms to parts of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. A few storms could pack some gusty winds.
Monday Threat Areas:  Albany, N.Y. |Washington, D.C. | Raleigh, N.C.
