The calendar has flipped to October, and while it is only Fall, it is not too soon to be talking about snow.
Winter Storm Atlas dumped more than three feet of snow in parts of South Dakota. Heavy snow also fell in Wyoming and Montana. Here are photos that capture the power of the first winter storm of the 2013-2014 season.
