Baltimore Landslide

Families evacuated from their Charles Village homes in Baltimore after a street collapse could be looking at a long nightmare ahead. The city said the people could be out of their homes as long as 40 days, as inspectors try to figure out what went wrong.The Baltimore Sun reports the city may pay for hotels and food, as well as shelter for displaced pets. City leaders will meet with the residents today to provide full details.The families have been out of their homes since Wednesday, when a retaining wall buckled on 26th Street, sending cars and mud tumbling 75 feet onto CSX railroad tracks.
