High NE Ocean Temperatures

In an article from The Weather Channel, the temperatures of the Ocean off of the NE U.S. have been reaching record highs early on in 2012.  It has been about 2.5 degrees warmer than usual, making the sea life change some of their patterns.  Though there are a few different ideas behind why this temperature change is occurring, it is important to know that the new temperatures will allow for new types of species to enter areas they are comfortable with.  Some say this temperature change is occurring naturally, while others may think it deals with the warmer air temperatures last winter in the area.
