In an article from Nicholas K. Geranios from the Associated Press on The Weather Channel, the wildfires in the state of Washington affecting the air quality for days are discussed. The large fires began from a lighting storm on September 8, requiring about 3,700 firefighters to try to put out the flames. The costs for theses workers is estimated around $8.1 million. Much of Washington is affected, as the smoke is flowing west over the Cascade Mountains. The smokes has also drifted east, affecting the air quality for many.
