Lightening in Washington

As large wildfires are going ramped along mountain peaks in Washington, firefighters are desperately trying to put them out.  As if this wasn't enough, a lightening storm warning was issued through Saturday night in Wenatchee, WA.  If it was forecasted with rain as well, the threat of spreading fires and/or new fires forming wouldn't have been so bad, however, these lightening storms are not supposed to come with rain.

Dry lightening and high winds set the perfect stage for wild fires to ignite. Especially with the dry season that the U.S. has experienced this year.

Firefighters are trying to gain control of the existing fires, so the chance of wildfire in nearby towns and cities is less, but there always poses a risk to blow in an unexpected direction. Residents are advised to stay indoors and stay posted on alerts for the town.  The smoke and debris from the fires also poses a threat to society nearby.
