A cold front swept through the Northeast on Friday, supplying another round of cool fall air to the region. With a strong high-pressure system moving in overnight, conditions will be ideal for temperatures to drop to their lowest levels since April on Saturday morning.

Saturday's Lows

Saturday's Lows
Temperatures will plummet at least to the 30s over much of New England, New York and Pennsylvania on Saturday morning, providing the possibility of an overnight frost or freeze. Lows in the 20s can be expected in parts of Upstate New York and northern New England.
Be sure to protect sensitive plants or move them indoors on Friday night. Freeze alerts have been issued across a large chunk of the region.
Lows in the upper 30s and low 40s will kick off Saturday morning in New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

Some cities across the Northeast will be within a few degrees of their daily record lows.
By Saturday afternoon the surge of cold air will subside, southerly winds will allow the temperatures to climb through the day. Highs will range from the 40s in Maine to the low 60s in D.C. - perfect for college game day tailgating or road-tripping through autumn's leafy beauty.
