Monday Severe
On Monday, low pressure swings northeast from Mississippi into the Tennessee Valley. A moist, unstable air mass to the east will put Alabama and Georgia in the risk zone for severe weather. Spotty damaging winds and a few tornadoes are possible.
Due to the tropical origin of the air mass, large hail is not expected. However, torrential downpours are likely with the strongest storms.
Tuesday Severe
By Tuesday, the low pressure lifts into the Ohio Valley and the severe threat shifts north as well. Anyone from Cincinnati to the Outer Banks and the South Carolina Lowcountry should be on alert for damaging winds and the possibility of a tornado Tuesday.
