Nadine recently completed its third stint as a hurricane as its prolonged stay over the Atlantic Ocean continues.
Tropical Storm Nadine will pass over the Azores Wednesday night or early Thursday before finally being swept up into a larger non-tropical low pressure system over the North Atlantic on Friday or Saturday.
As a result of Nadine's forecast track, the government of Portugal has issued a tropical storm warning for the Azores.
When Nadine became a hurricane the first time around on September 14, it was the third earliest-forming eighth hurricane on record, only trailing 1893 and 2005. If Nadine persists as a tropical cyclone through Thursday as expected, it will enter elite territory for Atlantic tropical cyclone longevity.
