Sunday evening the potential for severe
thunderstorms will start to diminish for the Southwest, especially after
sunset. The severe weather is due to a sharp dip in the jet stream
swinging through the region. Any storms that develop over the next few
hours could have the potential for large hail, damaging winds and a very
isolated tornado.
Monday, the dip in the jet
stream that brought severe weather to the Four Corners region of the
nation, will begin to significantly weaken. No organized areas of
severe weather are expected. There will be, however, a chance for
showers and thunderstorms along the Florida Gulf Coast, extending back
into east Texas. General thunderstorms will also be possible in parts
of the Upper Midwest.
