Ingrid dissipated over the mountains of eastern Mexico on Tuesday morning and the National Hurricane Center has issued its final advisory on the system.

That said, lingering moisture from Ingrid will continue to produce more heavy showers and thunderstorms in eastern Mexico the next few days. This will continue the threat of life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides in the region.

More than 30 people have been killed the last few days from flash flooding and mudslides triggered by Manuel's landfall on Mexico's Pacific coast and Ingrid's landfall in eastern Mexico

Ingrid made landfall along the coast of Mexico near La Pesca Monday morning and was downgraded to a tropical storm. Coincidentally, the landfall came 25 years to the day after powerful Hurricane Gilbert made landfall at La Pesca on Sept. 16, 1988.
