Twister outbreak unusual? No, just seems that way

Do you think Sunday's deadly tornado outbreak was unusual?  Well according to Miguel Llanos it is pretty typical but the only difference with previous years is that it took so long in the season to develop.  Sunday's outbreak ended up producing 15 twisters which is typical to see about 10 times per year on average.  The death toll is at least 17 deaths which is not out of the norm which is a lot of deaths but compared to 2012 where twisters had killed 65 people by mid April.  2014 has been a slowest start for a while and since it was a slow start the twisters on Sunday made it feel like it was unusual.
