On Wednesday evening, a round of severe weather spawned multiple tornadoes in northern Texas, killing at least six people and injuring dozens more. The largest of the tornadoes, a preliminary EF4 twister on the Enhanced Fujita Scale, wrecked the town of Granbury with winds as high as 200 mph.
The cleanup began Thursday morning, as aid groups swarmed the towns hit by the storms to help the victims with food, supplies and shelter. Survey crews determined what damage was caused by tornadoes as well.
Below are the real-time images and commentary from the witnesses who saw the violent storms.
