Buried Houses in Europe

The U.S. has been awe struck by the amount of heavy snow fall this winter. Little do we know that Europe is experiencing even worse severe conditions.
Residents of the Alps, the Dolomites of Northern Italy, and parts of the Balkans have been trapped in their houses due the amount of snow fall in these regions. There have been difficulties removing the snow from the houses without making them collapse. Some residents have been  able to dig snow tunnels from house to house due to the extreme depth of the snow. Consequently, avalanches have also been a major problem as well.
