Spring is in the Air
Chicago is expected to see a period of warm spring weather before another polar vortex causes the temperatures to drop.
"The Chicago area could end February and begin March with temperatures 10 to 15 degrees below normal. "But no highs in the single digits," Nelson said. "The days are longer, the sun is stronger."
"Someday in the not too distant future, say the middle of next week, the weather will break and temperatures will loft into the 50s. It will be drizzly, probably foggy, but you may hear birds singing."
This weird weather pattern could even result in the years first thunderstorm.
