"Rain will dampen the city of Seattle through the weekend and into next week, bringing a little bit of relief to some of the drought-stricken areas nearby. Temperatures through the weekend will hover just below 50 F with overnight lows consistently in the high 30s."
The jet stream is bringing heavy rain to Seattle while Chicago and other parts of the midwest experience more snow and record cold temperatures. This weather pattern will also produce warm and dry conditions in the south.
