The last of this afternoon's thunderstorms are moving through Lake and Porter counties in northwest Indiana as a cold front moves through the area. The last batches of thunderstorms are moving through northwest Indiana in Lake, Porter, Newton and Jasper counties bringing gusty winds and brief downpours. Boaters on southern Lake Michigan should be alert for this storms and a Special Marine warning remains in effect until 5:30 pm.
Once these storms clear the area,  lingering scattered showers will end and cooler air will move in on gusty west-northwest winds.
