The week before this article came out, thunderstorms were occurring all over the midwest and in the south. Tornadoes were reported in Missouri and Texas, in addition to those tornadoes several states were getting hit by large hail and rain. The rain in combination with the hail resulted in a handful of water rescues. Luckily only 4 people were injured in result of these storms.
Another area that was hit by a twister was University City (just west of St. Louis) there were damage to about 100 homes since winds reached to about 110 mph. In Missouri there was up to 5 inches of rainfall prompting flash flood warnings.
