A strong cold front will make for a messy Wednesday for areas in Texas and Louisiana as scattered strong to severe storms dominate their Halloween. For southwest Alabama and northwest Florida, our severe weather risk comes on Thursday, the first day of November.
Storm Prediction Center (SPC) issues severe weather outlooks and has put the WEAR-TV area under a slight risk which is level 2 out of 5.
Rain will begin early Thursday morning and will quickly become widespread through the first half of the day. Southern Mississippi will likely see 2-4 inches of rain as northwest Florida will see 1-3 inches. We will fine-tune our greatest threat over the next 24-hours so stay weather aware and be sure to have multiple ways to receive warnings and watches.
Behind the cold front we will see GORGEOUS conditions. Blue sky, sunshine, low humidity and dry air dominate Friday and the weekend.
