Tropical depression could form soon in Caribbean; Tropical Storm Nadine, Hurricane Leslie brewing in Atlantic

Although most eyes are turned toward Hurricane Michael as it made landfall in the Florida Panhandle Wednesday, there are several other systems being monitored, including an area of low pressure in the Caribbean that could become a tropical depression by the late weekend or early next week. An area of low pressure is expected to develop over the west-central Caribbean Sea in a day or two.
Environmental conditions are forecst to support gradual development, and a tropical depression could form late this weekend or early next week while the system moves slowly westward across the northwestern Caribbean Sea.
A tropical depression could form late this weekend on the tail of Hurricane Michael.
