Storms bring possibility of isolated tornadoes later this week

Enjoy the clear blue skies now, Houston, because showers and thunderstorms look to be on the horizon later this week.
The period of relatively warm, sunny afternoons are predicted to come to an end Thursday, when National Weather Service forecasters expect a mostly cloudy sky with scattered showers and thunderstorms at night.

By Friday, severe storms could produce heavy rainfall and even isolated tornadoes, with an 80 percent chance of precipitation during the day and 90 percent at night, the weather service said. Street flooding is also a concern.
On the bright side, at least the rain won't be freezing. Low temperatures will hover between  61 and 63 degrees from Thursday to Friday.
A 40 percent chance of rain is expected Saturday, and the sun will start to peak out again on Sunday, according to the forecast.
For now, we can enjoy brisk afternoons with low temperatures between 42 and 50 degrees.
