Nearly 3 1/2 inches of rain fell in Cranston on Monday, the National Weather Service reported.
5000+ people were left without power in RI.
Many residents were flooded out of their apartments.
The rainfall was hardest in the Southern parts of Rhode Island and in some parts of Massachusetts.
There was also hail recorded.
