Severe weather outbreak, isolated tornadoes may target central US to end this week

Conditions may become conducive for severe weather and perhaps a significant severe weather outbreak over parts of the central United States to end this workweek.

Interests over the Great Plains of the U.S. may need to monitor the risk of severe weather, including tornadoes, on Friday.

At this time AccuWeather meteorologists have outlined a severe weather general risk area for Friday afternoon into Friday night.

This area currently extends from part of the northern Texas Panhandle to a portion of Iowa. The area may shift in size and orientation as the week progresses.
