Colorado Severe Threat

KUSA - There is another threat for strong storms in the eastern half of Colorado Tuesday, according to the Colorado weather forecast. Storms will form after lunch time and will intensify as they move out of the state Tuesday night.
A disturbance moving in from Utah will trigger showers and thunderstorms first in the foothills around noon Tuesday, with storms moving east for the remainder of the afternoon. Denver and the Front Range will see a chance for showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m.
The risk for severe weather includes the eastern suburbs of Denver and all of eastern Colorado. Storms will intensify as they encounter higher humidity on the eastern plains where isolated tornadoes, large hail and damaging wind will be possible. Storms will move out of the state by 10 p.m. Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, the western half of the state will remain dry, warm and windy with a RED FLAG WARNING in effect from noon until 10 p.m. Tuesday. Fire danger will be extremely high along the western slope through the afternoon. Dry weather will take over the entire state after storms move out Tuesday night. Fire danger is expected to increase throughout the rest of the week with windy weather and highs in the 90s returning to Denver and the Front Range.
