Heavy rains continued affecting Bolivia and other countries of South America, causing floods and landslides.
COLOMBIA – Floods and Landslides
• Heavy rains caused floods and landslides in the departments of Choco and Cauca. Choco: 400 families' homes damaged by landslides and overflown rivers. Cauca: 300 people affected, 31 houses destroyed.

PERU – Floods, Landslides, Drought
• Heavy rains caused floods and landslides in central and southern Peru; most affected are the departments of Huancavelica, Madre de Dios, Pasco and Cusco. River overflows in these departments have damaged roads and isolated a number of communities.
• Meanwhile, lack of rain in the north is affecting 28 000 farmers in Lambayeque and ca. 70% of rice crops are at risk in Piura and La Libertad.

BOLIVIA – Floods and Landslides
• Heavy rains caused floods and landslides in several parts of the country. Most affected: Cochabamba department. According to the latest report of SINAGER (10 February): 52 337 families affected by heavy rainfalls, floods and mudslides in 127 municipalities (see table in the map).
• In the next 48h moderate (locally heavy) rains and thunderstorms may affect parts of central and southeastern Bolivia.

ARGENTINA–Heavy rains/Landslides
• Heavy rains affected mainly the capital city of Buenos Aires; one dead and at least 2 000 people evacuated.

URUGUAY – Heavy rains / Floods
• At least 4 000 persons severely affected in the country by heavy rains and floods. Localities most affected:
Montevideo, Canelones, Maldonado.
