Radioactive Russian Clouds

A phenomenon has swept the country of Europe with high levels of radioactive pollution being discovered through specific weather patterns in the region. Though the cause is unknown, the likely originator of this radioactive cloud of ruthenium 106 may have come from southern Russia despite statements from the nuclear industry that resides there stating that they're not the main cause.

Of course, the amount of ruthenium 106 that had been released would eventually retreat, and it being present to begin with didn't pose any dangerous threat of any kind. As it is stated in the article, "the French institute reached similar conclusions, but said the amounts of ruthenium 106 released at the source of the accident were significant. If contamination of this magnitude had occurred in France, it said, the authorities would have ordered protective measures for people living miles around." Nevertheless, a small nuclear threat can create tension, especially towards countries like Russia who specialize working in the field.
