Saola Typhoon
Typhoon Lan had come to pass when it hit Japan last time. Now, a new typhoon named Saola was formed and has gone on a similar path the last one made. Typhoon Saola wasn't as powerful as Typhoon Lan, but there was still be the consequences of heavy rainfall and strong winds. It was also expected to create mudslides and flooding similar to the last typhoon, but there were no casualties present from the previous reported seven. According to an article by the Japan Times, in regards to how powerful this typhoon was, "the agency said the Tokai
region would get up to 180 mm of rain over a 24-hour period ending at noon on
Monday, 150 mm in the Hokuriku and Kanto-Koshin regions, and 100 mm in the Tohoku
region." Since that announcement, over 80 flights were cancelled, and transportation networks went offline for the coming storm. This was also the 22nd typhoon created around this country this season.
